Social contribution activities
Winter illuminations
The headquarters building has been decorated with energy-saving and environmentally-friendly LEDs to add color to the local community. The seven colors of the rainbow reflect a concept proposed by Isewan Group - international logistics services and diversity connecting countries, nations, and the world.
Aqua Farm Isewan
Aqua Farm Isewan promotes the employment of people with disabilities and carries out the hydroponic cultivation of water spinach. We provide work environments where a wide range of employees can play active roles, offer safety and security, and deliver delicious food to many tables through our agriculture business.
Sponsorship of local festivals
We have contributed to the revitalization of the region by supporting local events such as Nagoya Port Festival, the Nakagawa Canal Festival, the Chinese New Year Festival in Nagoya, and the Nagoya Port Winter Illumination Festival.
Disaster prevention drills for large-scale disasters
We participate in disaster drills as a member of the Nagoya Harbor Transportation Association. We play an important role in transporting relief supplies sent from all over Japan to earthquake-affected areas via marine transportation from Nagoya Port.

[Environmental Policy]
As a company that handles intermediate
treatment of industrial waste, Isewan Terminal
Service Co., Ltd. will contribute to the establishment
of a recycling-oriented society at our
Sorami Service Site by properly and reliably
disposing of industrial waste and building
harmonious relations with local communities.
The following matters shall be ensured in order
to confirm that the business activities offered at
these sites are provided under a management
system that meets the requirements of international
standard ISO14001 (2015 edition).
- Reduce environmental impact, conserve resources, save energy, reduce labor, and improve reuse rates through proper process management.
- Make efforts to prevent pollution based on an understanding of sites’ environment.
- When setting environmental objectives and targets, we will periodically review them and work to continuously improve our environmental management systems.
- Establish and implement voluntary control procedures in compliance with environmental laws and regulations and other requirements agreed to by the business departments.
- Conduct education and awareness activities in order to document, implement and maintain the Environmental Policy, and disseminate the policy to all persons working at or on behalf of sites.
- Strive to communicate and harmonize with local communities, and disclose the Environmental Policy when requested by outside parties.
Switching to energy-efficient offices and warehouses
We have made efforts to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions by gradually replacing office and warehouse lights with LEDs and by implementing the “Cool Biz” approach recommended by the Ministry of the Environment.
Introduction of environmentally friendly vehicles
We are promoting the use of battery-powered forklifts and the introduction of heavy equipment fitted with clean diesel that is environmentally friendly. We have also promoted the introduction of hybrid cars for our company cars.
Recycling business
As a full service international intermodal logistics company, Isewan Terminal Service Co., Ltd. responds to our customers’ logistical needs, but we have also built total support systems in relation to waste disposal, including recycling.
Solar panels
We have installed solar panels on the roofs of our warehouses. We contribute to society’s goal of reducing environmental impact by using clean energy without CO2 emissions through the use of renewable energy generated using solar power.
Use of SAF in air transportation
We are working to achieve carbon neutrality by promoting sustainable aviation fuels, which can reduce CO2 emissions by about 80% compared with conventional fuels.
Minato SDGs Partner
We have registered as a “Minato SDGs Partner,” which is a system for recognizing companies that are making efforts to contribute to the achievement of SDGs in port and harbor business. We aim to improve our corporate value and contribute to the sustainable development of ports and harbors.
